MARVEL Tōkon Online Requirements

Check the PlayStation Account, internet, online mode, cross-platform, and anti-cheat boundaries listed for MARVEL Tōkon on Steam.

The Steam page for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls states that a PlayStation Account and internet connection are required for Online Lobby, private Room Matches, Ranked Matches, Casual Matches, Player Profile, and other online features. It also lists online PvP and cross-platform multiplayer and discloses kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat. This page is a preflight checklist, not a promise about service availability, matchmaking region, or account recovery.

Evidence status: Account, internet, named online features, cross-platform listing, and anti-cheat disclosure are Official. Region, privacy, queue, latency, and support behavior are Needs current testing.

Account and connection preflight

Before selecting an online mode, confirm that the Steam installation is current and that the required PlayStation Account can sign in. Read the live prompt and use the official game or support surface. Do not enter account details into a third-party guide or a “verification” link.

Test a local or Training action first. If the same action is inconsistent offline, an online connection is not the first suspect. The Online Lobby page covers lobby and match-type navigation; this page keeps access and system boundaries in one place.

Match-type scope

The disclosure names private rooms, ranked, casual, player profile, and other online features. Treat each as a separate test. A room may load while ranked is unavailable. A profile may need an account even when a local match does not. Record the exact mode, prompt, date, and region context if visible.

Do not turn a failed queue into a claim that the game has no online support. Check the official update surface and service notice before escalating. A live feature can be temporarily unavailable without changing the store’s product scope.

Cross-platform wording

Steam lists cross-platform multiplayer. That supports the statement that the product advertises cross-platform play, but it does not establish which platforms, modes, controllers, voice features, or saves participate. Use a platform-pair test if you need detail and record the account, mode, region, and date.

Cross-platform multiplayer is not cross-save. Do not promise that progression, settings, or replays move between accounts or devices without a first-party source.

For a clean support note, write the account state, Windows version, Steam client state, mode, region if visible, error text, and whether a local match still works. This order distinguishes access from service and service from combat. A player who can complete Training but cannot join a private room has a different problem from a player whose installation cannot launch. The official page supplies the prerequisite boundary; a current support notice must supply the remedy.

Remember that the Steam listing’s cross-platform label is broad. It does not define cross-save, voice, privacy, controller parity, or the platform pair available in every mode. Keep those fields open until the official game or support documentation names them.

After a successful sign-in, make one local or Training check and then try the least consequential online surface available. If the lobby opens, record the displayed account and room state before joining a match. If it fails, retain the exact error and stop there rather than repeatedly changing settings. This gives support a reproducible starting point and protects the player from confusing an access failure with a combat or roster issue.

Easy Anti-Cheat and uninstall note

The store page says the game uses kernel-level anti-cheat and Easy Anti-Cheat and requires manual removal after uninstall. Surface that wording before installation. Do not add security or performance conclusions that the store does not state. For an uninstall issue, record the exact system state and use current official instructions rather than an unverified cleanup script.

Online requirements FAQ

Is an internet connection needed for every mode?

The store explicitly requires one for named online features. It separately lists offline content, so do not generalize the online requirement to every mode.

Is cross-platform multiplayer the same as cross-save?

No. They are separate features and require separate evidence.

What should I check after an online failure?

Reproduce the action locally, verify the account and connection, capture the exact mode and error, and check official update/support notices.
